Material Handler
Reports to:  Plant Manager 
Department:  Logistics/Shipping 
FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Primary Purpose
Move materials and completed racks throughout the facility and efficiently with use of carts, cranes and forklifts. 

Essential Duties
  1. Transports material or racks to and from designated areas. 
  2. Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles. 
  3. Ensuring loads are secure. 
  4. Moving goods packed on pallets on material carts around the facility. 
  5. Stacking goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions. 
  6. Dump materials into machine scrap hoppers. 
  7. Perform daily equipment checks: 
    -recharging truck battery and lubricating equipment 
    -removing machine attachments and waste material from machines (machine operator should  
     remove attachments and re-attach when finished charging) 
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Education:  None required. 

Experience:  1 year(s) preferred in forklift. 
                     1 year(s) preferred in manufacturing environment.

The starting wage is $18-$20/hour based on skill and experience. Is this starting wage acceptable to you?

The schedule is 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. M-F. Are you interested in a first shift position?*
The position requires occasional overtime-sometimes voluntary, sometimes mandatory. Are you able to work overtime?*
Do you have any ongoing appointments/scheduling conflicts that would keep you from working 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.? If so, please indicate when the appointment is/frequency so we can determine if it is something we can accommodate. **You do not need to disclose the reason for the appt.***
The shop you'll be working in isn't climate controlled. There is no air conditioning in the summer. It will be cold in the winter. Does working in these types of conditions bother you?
