The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance.

Workforce Planning:
- Partner with business leaders to forecast workforce needs and align recruitment strategies.
- Lead the full lifecycle of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Administer onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on HR issues, fostering positive employee relations.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Investigate and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
- Support leaders in identifying skill gaps and opportunities for training.
- Lead the design and facilitation of annual employee review cycles.
- Conduct initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, well-being, and overall engagement.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Manage employee deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and commissions.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees.
- Work with finance/accounting on payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- Stay up to date on payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
- Regularly audit HR practices and recommend improvements to align with legal requirements and business needs.
- Support HR initiatives and projects related to organizational development, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
- Maintain and update employee records.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist or strategic HR role.
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and current federal, state, and local laws.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive attitude.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with employee relations or performance management.
- HR experience in Mexico, including local labor law compliance, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
