The Downhole Tool Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and business development within the oil and gas sector. This role focuses on selling specialized downhole tools to upstream oilfield clients, including drilling contractors, service companies, and operators. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of downhole tools and a proven track record of building client relationships and closing deals in the oilfield services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
The annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000 with commission.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of downhole tools and a proven track record of building client relationships and closing deals in the oilfield services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities for downhole tool sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to existing and prospective clients.
- Gather information for the preparation of quotes and contracts based on customer requirements and company capabilities.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing to ensure customer satisfaction and successful delivery of services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote brand awareness and expand customer base.
- Maintain accurate records including contacts, leads, opportunities, and sales forecasts.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets and KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in oilfield sales, preferably focused on downhole tools (e.g., drilling tools, fishing tools, completion tools, or wireline tools).
- Strong technical knowledge of drilling operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
- Existing client network in the oil and gas sector.
- Knowledge of regional oilfield operations and service requirements.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with API and ISO standards relevant to downhole tools.
